We would like you to feel at home in Navigo. That’s why in this version we added the ability to set a profile photo, company logo and add categories for each user separately. And we also have a new template for invoices and orders!
It’s been two months since we published a new version of Navigo with WBS and a revised plan. How did you adjust to these changes? Have you encountered any problems? Are you excited about the new features? Are these changes for the better? You can let us know at podpora@navigo3.com!
Profile photo
You can set your own profile photo in the user settings. For now, it will only appear on the main menu and in the user list, but in the future it will start appearing wherever the user is displayed – for example, on projects, allocations, or in the journal.
Company logo
The option to upload a logo has been added to the company address settings. This will be reflected in the new printing of invoices and orders.
Printing of invoices and orders
In the context menus of orders and issued invoices there is an option to print them to PDF:
We took care of the design of the templates, hope you like it. The invoice contains a QR code for easier payment.
So far, we have kept the original printing in use because “How many people, so many opinions on the appearance and content of the invoice” ? However, we plan to abolish it in the future. So please let us know if you are not happy with the new invoices.
Formatted text in orders
The option to format the content has been added to the order, which will of course be reflected in the new print to PDF.
Category
We’ve redesigned the category settings to allow each user to create their own categories. Category items can now contain a symbol and a colour. A “Favourites” category is automatically created for each user with a single entry, which is a red heart. Categories for all users can still only be edited by users with high privileges and wearing the globe symbol. User categories can be changed by each user and have a user symbol.
Thanks to the custom categories, each user can create their own lists because they can be searched by them. For quicker category setup without having to go to the company/project detail, we have created a pop-up window:
Chart in cash flow
Until now, the cash flow was displayed only as a table with the option to export to Excel. And so we have added a chart in which you can clearly view the data. It is possible to set the scale to week, month and quarter and display data normally or cumulatively. It is even possible to set the monthly expenses of the company and thus get a realistic forecast of the financial development.
Export reports in .xlsx format
Reports can be printed directly to an Excel file:
Settings
We have added two new entries in the system settings (the gear in the top bar -> System Settings). For smaller companies with multiple projects, the need to activate the plan on each of them can be a nuisance. So they can turn on auto-activation:
The second setting was added to the project details. It is possible to disable reporting outside the allocation. This is useful, for example, if you want to force reporting on allocations on regular projects, but want to allow reporting outside of allocations on “meetings” or “I didn’t get the job” projects.
The value to be used for newly created projects can be set in the system settings:
Trivia
- Contacts search now also works by phone number and city.
- We have abolished the number line for the diary, which was common with the mail register. So, from now on, the numerical series of mail records will be uninterrupted by journal entries.
- In the project list you can now select the detail of the information displayed:
Distraction at the end
If you’ve read this far, you deserve a little distraction. The way our company operates could be summarized as follows: We are dead serious about the development and operation of Navigo. However, we approach the running of our company and marketing with freedom, humour and above all in an unconventional way.
This was the only way to create the first of a series of five similar marketing videos, which we shot according to the script and under the direction of the writer Petra Dvořáková. We conceived the shoot as a teambuilding and we really enjoyed it. Technically it’s not quite perfect, but we’ll work on that in future series ?

And if you’re more into reading than videos, you can read the first few parts of the Shovels and Exploiters series. With great exaggeration, it describes the conflict between employees and employers in companies:
