Do you really need an Additional Solution?

Before you even start considering who will create the Additional Solution for you, pay close attention to the following paragraph.

The use of Additional Solutions can look very meaningful and appealing at first glance. Particularly when it comes to system interconnection, many clients tend to succumb to the impression that this will make their work easier and less of a hassle. Please note that the opposite may be true. There are many types of Additional Solutions that are quite different in their complexity and this must always be taken into account.

Using Additional Solutions means paying for both a one-time upfront investment as well as payments for operation, recurring updates and adjustments to make the connection functional in the long term. Especially for complex integrations, we therefore recommend carefully weighing the benefits against the cost.

From our experience, we recommend to start using Navigo itself, which has a rich functionality, and only after some time to consider the Additional Solution. Otherwise, you may end up ordering a solution that will cost you a lot of money and have little or no effect on your work.

Especially when integrating systems, you will face high technical and organizational demands with any project management software; this is not a specific problem of Navigo. This arises in connection with constantly changing and updating systems; as a result, you must continuously modify and maintain the integration of company systems with project management software at your own expense. No software provider has yet discovered a solution to avoid this problem.

In some cases, setting up and maintaining Additional Solutions may require you to coordinate ongoing collaboration between the IT staff who run or maintain your other business systems.

The main responsibility for this work will always lie with you. The Navigo team cannot act as the coordinator for these collaborations; it is a part of the management within your company. Our experience shows that this activity is often very demanding, complicated, and burdensome for companies. It requires the ability to navigate through technical IT terms and communicate with various providers and administrators of corporate software.

It’s also important to note that even your own Additional Solution, especially system integrations, can potentially complicate and add complexity to your work. We can provide a number of practical examples in this regard, and we will be happy to discuss them with you in detail.

If, despite this information, you are convinced that you want the Additional Solution, you can have it set up using the methods provided below. Note that whoever implements the Additional Solution, you will always be exposed to the above.
